The Chairman of the Council, the Minister of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija, will participate today in Tirana in the meeting and working lunch of the leaders of the Western Balkans with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.
The Council of Ministers of BiH announced that Tegeltija will have a bilateral meeting with Merkel.
It will be an ideal opportunity for Merkel to convey her views and to speak with Tegeltija about the boycott of the work of state institutions directed by Republika Srpska politicians over the appointment of High Representative Christian Schmidt, who arrived in BiH at the suggestion of Germany.
The meeting of political leaders with the German Chancellor in the capital of Albania comes after her visit to Belgrade yesterday, where she met with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
After the meeting, Merkel said that she talked with Vucic about Bosnia and Herzegovina, without specifying specifically what, and pointed out that the EU’s geostrategic interest is for all countries in the region to be accepted into EU membership.
Her visit to the Balkans is a farewell, considering that she will soon leave the position she held for the past 16 years, and her arrival in our region is symbolic within the framework of the Berlin Process, Klix.ba writes.
