The Council of Ministers of BiH, with corrections in the session, adopted its work program for 2017, which contains about 100 development-investment projects and it is dedicated to the process of accession to the EU, fulfilling its obligations under the “Partnership for Peace”, as well as further improvement of regional and international cooperation.
On the agenda of the Council of Ministers in 2017 will be the law of the development of the justice sector that are arising from the Structured Dialogue of BiH and the EU and the obligations arising from the Stabilization and Association Agreement, a number of laws in the field of communications, new laws on food and veterinary medicine, on Foreign Affairs, and the rights of victims of torture in BiH, the Office for foreigners, the pharmaceutical and medical devices, the civil service and other laws for the purpose of harmonization with EU legislation.
The plan is, among other things, the adoption of several strategies, for the fight against organized crime in BiH; for the control of narcotic drugs; reform of health care system in BiH; and the adoption of medium-term debt management strategy in BiH and improving the legal framework for cooperation with the Diaspora by adopting policies and strategies on cooperation with BH diaspora.
An important segment of the work will be strengthening cooperation and partnerships at the regional and international level, which will be followed by a number of bilateral agreements, as well as the intensification of joint projects with civil society organizations in BiH.
In 2017 will be continued negotiations within the framework of the accession process of BiH to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The Council of Ministers of BiH, on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, adopted the Decision on adoption of the annual National Consumer Protection Program in BiH for 2017, which was prepared by the Consumer Protection Council of BiH.
State Annual Program for Consumer Protection in BiH for 2017 is a comprehensive document that creates the framework policy of consumer protection, defining priorities, determines the extent of their achievement and determined stakeholders to meet the plan’s objectives and tasks.
The Council of Ministers of BiH, with the correction on the session, adopted the Information of the Directorate for European Integration on the activities carried out in relation to the planning and programming of assistance through sectoral budget support in the framework of the IPA 2017, the employment sector.
