Prime Minister of the Government of the RS Zeljka Cvijanovic stated that representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) clearly stated that deadlines and obligations have to be respected.
He added that not respecting agreed obligations is threatening not only for the arrangement with the IMF, but also the cooperation with other international financial institutions, as well as all benefits that BiH could get from accession to the Transport Community.
During the conversation with the representatives of IMF in Washington, it was stated that the arrangement with this financial institution represents an important factor for implementing development policies that are complied with the measures envisaged by the Reform Agenda, and which representatives of all levels of government in BiH agreed on.
Cvijanovic also noted that “the implementation of the Reform Agenda and the agreed processes are also disturbed by the absence of a parliamentary majority at the level of BiH, which shows that BH authorities at the level of BiH are those who are disturbing the reform process,” as stated by the Government of the RS.
During the conversation was established that the institutions of RS fulfilled their obligations regarding the IMF arrangement in December 2016, and the representatives of IMF reiterated once again that the conditions for continuation of the arrangement are the adoption of the Law on Excises and the Law on securing deposits at the level of BiH.
Cvijanovic is staying in Washington as part of the regular Annual Assembly of the World Bank and the IMF.
