The citizens of Serbia have been enabled to park for free in Banja Luka until the end of this year in all places where there is a parking fee, the city administration said.
The decision was made by the mayor of Banja Luka, Drasko Stanivukovic, who today held a meeting with the consul of the Consulate of Serbia in Banja Luka, Vesna Marinkovic.
He said that the decision was a sign of gratitude to the citizens, as well as to the Government of Serbia and the President for selfless help to both Banja Luka and Republika Srpska.
“As we announced, the parking ticket of Serbian citizens will be their license plate. The citizens of Banja Luka have felt the benefits of our fraternal cooperation with Serbia for years, and we have decided to reciprocate in this way so that the citizens of Serbia feel the importance of our friendship and cooperation.” , said Stanivukovic.
He added that this decision can be extended for longer than the end of 2021, if necessary.
