The Minister of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Delic, said today, during a tour of craftsmen in Kazandziluk Street, that old traditional crafts are the most endangered activities during the pandemic.

He pointed out that since taking over the function of the Minister, he has been carrying out certain activities in order to help the old traditional crafts, and that a public call has been announced for the allocation of incentive funds to crafts operating in the historically important Bascarsija.

The Minister emphasized that they are currently implementing programs to encourage the development of small businesses, which include traditional crafts themselves, and that in cooperation with the Chamber of Crafts Canton Sarajevo they are working on promoting the program so that all traditional crafts have the opportunity to use and improve business.

He announced that he would find the means to repeat this public call in the coming period, because he believes that traditional crafts deserve it and that they are one of the most endangered ones.

Delic said that the Ministry announces a public call for old crafts once a year, and that in the previous year the budget amounted to 150,000 BAM but that they increased it by 100,000 BAM.
