As part of the project ‘’100 Books for Understanding Contemporary Japan”, Foundation Nippon from Japan, in cooperation with the Japanese Embassy to BIH, has provided a donation of books about Japan in six educational institutions and organizations in BiH.
Every institution received 100 books that was selected by a commission of Japanese and international experts from various areas, and which include five categories: politics and international relations, business and economy, culture and society, art and art history.
Donations were received by: University in Banja Luka, University in Zenica, National and University Library of the RS, National and University Library “Derviš Sušić” Tuzla, the BiH-Japanese Friendship Association, and the Sarajevo Association for Japanese Studies.
The Embassy of Japan hopes that this project will bring Japanese culture closer to BiH citizens and contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations between our two countries.
‘’100 books for understanding contemporary Japan’’ is part of ‘’Read Japan’’ program through which Foundation Nippon donates books every year on contemporary Japanese libraries abroad.
Foundation Nippon is a private institution from Japan whose main goal is to contribute to social changes.
For this purpose, through various projects this institution will help in exchanges and lend support in various areas that include social, educational, youth, medicine and security, announced the Embassy of Japan to BiH.
