Students and teachers of the primary school “Stari Ilijas” in Ilijas marked the third anniversary of the existence and operation of this educational institution, and on this occasion, the school put into operation a brand new elevator for a student with developmental disabilities Faris Heric.
The ceremony was also attended by the Minister for Education, Science and Youth, Elvir Kazazovic. At the end of last year, management of the school launched a project of the elevator for student Faris who attends classes with an adjusted curriculum, in order to facilitate his studies and movement in the school.
The project cost 30,000 BAM, and funds were provided by redistributing the budget of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth and with the financial support of the Municipality of Ilijas and the donor company.
In gratitude for the support of this and other important projects for the operation of educational institutions, Minister Kazazovic and Mayor Akif Fazlic presented letters of appreciation on this occasion.
“This was an opportunity to celebrate the Independence Day and the Day of our municipality. Primary school “Stari Ilijas” is a new, modern and well equipped, and we are working according to European standards and great attention to inclusive processes in education. We have recently received the ISO 9001: 2015, to which we are particularly proud,” said the director of school Mahir Devic.
