Foreign Minister Turkovic announces opening of Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Novi Pazar

On Friday, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turkovic spoke by phone with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

The interlocutors discussed, among other things, issues of common interest in the challenging period of the post-COVID crisis, the opening of the Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Novi Pazar, some open bilateral issues in which both Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia are interested, and concluded that the relations between BiH and Serbia should be intensified in the coming period.

In that regard, Minister Dacic pointed out that due to the upcoming elections in the Republic of Serbia scheduled for June 21st this year he is not in a position to visit BiH now, but he sent an invitation to Minister Turkovic to visit the Republic of Serbia. The ministers also agreed on the need to further strengthen and deepen regional co-operation in all areas as well as to resolve all outstanding issues between the two neighboring countries.
