Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik met on Wednesday in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to BiH, Noah Gal Gendler, in an inaugural visit.
Dodik briefed the Israeli Ambassador on the current political situation in BiH, but also expressed confidence that good co-operation between the two countries would continue in the future.
He expressed hope that Israel would soon abolish visas for BiH citizens, reminding the Ambassador that BiH abolished visas for Israeli citizens in 2012.
The officials also discussed earlier meetings of ministers from the Government of the Republika Srpska to Israel at the meeting and concluded that those visits were successful.
They both agreed that there is room for cooperation between Republika Srpska and Israel in the field of economy, agriculture, information technology, medicine and other areas, and that precise models of the cooperation need to be determined in the coming period.
