For the construction of the airport in Bihac, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) will allocate 3.5 million BAM this year and these funds will be used to produce the test section of railway and the continuation of the expropriation of private land.
This was stated by the director of the company “Airport Bihac” Elvedin Sedic, Biznis Info news portal reports.
According to Sedic, in the last two years, the expropriation has covered 260,000 square meters of land and for that purpose, two million BAM have been spent.
“At this point, one of the priorities is to make a test section of the airport railway track so that we can focus on choosing the final version of its construction. We have two versions, one expensive and the other cheaper, and we have to choose between them, “Sedic explained.
He added that during the design of the main and executive project of the future airport, statistics showed that this project will not be cheaper than 50 million BAM and that they will have to find an efficient model of its funding in the coming period.
The conceptual solution of the airport consists of a control tower, a terminal, a fire brigade, a maintenance service, a petrol station, a garage, a hangar and a workshop.
The terminal building will consist of a basement, ground floor and the first floor, and space where counters will be able to accommodate 120 people.
There will be commercial spaces as well as the administration of the airport. The airport will have one runway 2,200 meters long and another one, one kilometer long.
