Within the explanation of the report on the work of the Council of Ministers of BiH for 2016 to the members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the House of Representatives of BiH, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic noted that the Council of Ministers of BiH achieved visible progress in all priority areas and that all parameters are going in the support of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
Zvizdic informed the deputies on the activities of the Council of Ministers of BiH in the last year, and noted that after years of a slowed down and at certain points even blocked process of European integrations, “the year of 2016 is certainly the most successful European year for BiH”.
The Chairman of the Council of Ministers stated that the progress was achieved in the fight against all forms of organized crime and corruption, including the very important fight against terrorism, and they also managed to achieve significant improvement in the field of regional cooperation, especially with the first neighbors.
Zvizdic noted that the basis for stable economic and political progress of BiH is in the further progress towards membership in NATO. He estimated that BiH did a lot in the reform process, especially in the sector of defense, which was realized with significant support from NATO.
During that process, we already implemented certain NATO standards. We are very actively working on the realization of conditions from Talin, in order for the Alliance to make the decision on activation of the Membership Action Plan (MAP) as soon as possible,” said Zvizdic.
“We believe that we will be able to credibly realize the condition for MAP activation by the end of the year,” said the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
