The Center will also include a co-working space for the informal part of the program, within which students will be able to work on development of innovative project ideas in a pleasant atmosphere. All of that will increase their ability to start their own business, as well as their competitiveness for employment in IT companies. Moreover, basic education in the field of computer literacy for unemployed people is planned as well.
The value of this project is 360.000 BAM. It is funded by the EU, and all funds are directed towards organizations, companies, and the Electrotechnical School for projects that are related to opening of new workplaces, training and entrepreneurship.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Novi Grad Semir Efendic said that the Electrotechnical School has been noticed as the best one by the innovations of its students in BiH, but also outside BiH, and that this educational institution is just the right place for a center like this.
Director of this school Alihodzic noted that the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship was established with the aim to increase the knowledge of students in the IT sector, entrepreneurship and programming. He also added that the main aim is to give the opportunity to students to achieve further progress and establish their own start-up companies.
