edin rahicBradford City is currently on the fourth place in the English League One (third league), a position that leads to the playoffs for the Championship and they have only three points less than the club on the second place, which means direct placement in the next league.

Although it does not sound too glamorous, it did not bother Edin Rahic, a German who is originally from BiH, to buy this small English club last year with his business partner.

His dream, of course, is that his Bantams start playing in the Premiership one day.

“I really want this. To our players and our fans. If one day we really start playing in the Premiership, I promise that tickets will cost only a pound,” said Rahic, whose club is already one of the clubs with the cheapest tickets in England.

Annual ticket for Valley Parade Stadium costs only 149 GBP, and his club has an average of about 18,000 fans watching their matches.

“By joining the Premiership, we would get 100 million GBP just from TV rights. Compared with that amount, the money earned from the tickets are just crumbs. I believe that we can leave some part of this financial pie to our fans. It is a shame how much some clubs charge their tickets. Therefore, our tickets will cost a pound, and I want us to have the best atmosphere in England,” said Rahic, who believes that the majority of players in the Premiership are overpaid.
