Bosnia and Herzegovina in-debts Thirty Million Euros for Roads Reconstruction

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has determined the Proposal of the loan agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the Project of City Roads Sarajevo worth 30 million Euros.

The purpose of this project is to improve the key road network in Sarajevo Canton, by financing the construction and upgrading of traffic infrastructure on the sections of the Fifth Transversal (Kobilja Glava Tunnel) and the Ninth Transversal to connect the city of Sarajevo with other parts of the Canton and the regional road network.

The goal is to reduce current traffic congestion and improve mobility in the region.

The funds will be allocated to the Federation of BiH, in Sarajevo Canton, and the completion of the project is expected by the end of 2022. The draft agreement with the grounds for its conclusion will be submitted to the Presidency of BiH, and the Minister of Finance and Treasury has been proposed as the BiH signatory.
