arabs bihMinister of Civil Affairs of BiH Adil Osmanovic and Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Ash-Shaikh, met yesterday in Sarajevo and discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the two ministries, especially in the field of education.

Ministers agreed that education is one of the key areas for the development of modern society, especially emphasizing the importance of education in the fight against extremism of all kinds.

Minister Osmanovic reminded his Saudi colleague that the memorandum of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, scientific and technical cooperation is in the process of preparation.

“Traditionally, large numbers of students from BiH are studying in Saudi Arabia. Our desire is to expand cooperation in a way to get the opportunities for education in our country closer to Saudi students, but also through the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fields of science and technology,” said Minister Osmanovic.

They discussed further cooperation between the two countries, both in the field of education as the biggest investment in the world, as well as in the field of culture, development of economy and investment in infrastructure, and all with the ultimate goal of investing in people and their well-being.

Ministers Osmanovic and Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al Ash-Shaikh condemned the actions of extremist groups, emphasizing that terrorism that is done in the name of religion has nothing to do with Islam.

They emphasized the need for fighting at all levels, including the education and ideology, against all forms of extremist activity, as announced from the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.
