A quiz competition “BiH cities for EU” testing BiH primary and secondary school pupils on their knowledge of the EU is about to reach its finale. The semi- finale winners: primary schools Fra Lovro Karaula, Livno and Meša Selimović, Zenica as well as high school winners: Tehnička škola (Technical School) Gradiška and (Grammar School) Gimnazija Zenica will compete at the final game in Sarajevo on 14 October.
So far 9 primary and 8 high schools from Grude, Livno, Zenica and Gradiška competed in qualifications that took place in these cities.
The semi finale took place in Banja Luka on 8 October. It was also great opportunity for children from Zenica, Grude and Gradiška to visit this city (some of them for the first time) and see its historical monuments in the sightseeing that was organised after the competition. Organisation of quizzes is part of the EU funded project to increase general understanding of the EU among BiH citizens.
In addition, the final quiz will represent an opportunity for children and visitors of Culture Centre Sarajevo to watch exhibitions of selected drawings and illustrations “My town in Europe” and “EU in Art” that represent contributions of 150 children and young artists from 15 cities in BiH.
