Regarding allegations that the University Clinical Center of the Republika Srpska (UKC) has become a new focal point of coronavirus infection and does not have sufficient protection equipment, General Manager Vlado Dajic said that this is incorrect information and that everything is done according to the prescribed procedure in the UKC and that there is enough equipment, Klix.ba news portal reports.
“At the UKC, we have half a million protective masks, about a million gloves and five thousand suits and many in the region can envy us. At the UKC, we have about 3,000 employees and about 50 infected. This shows us that we have less than 2 percent of infected workers, which is below the average of many world centers, “Dajic said.
UKC Deputy Director Nenad Stevandic said that there was no incident in this health facility that the planned measures were not implemented
“Protocols were established much sooner than other hospitals. Supply of equipment, procurement of respirators, and X-rays. And now, this is being talked about. We have 900 infected in RS, and 43 people have died. Of those, 150 are treated in the UKC, 47 are in other hospitals in the RS, “Stevandic said.
As he points out, they did not find the epidemiological link that any of the workers did not behave responsibly.
