From today, wearing protective masks will be mandatory in the open in the Sarajevo Canton, which is a new order of the CS Crisis Staff, which intends to suppress the spread of coronavirus.

As confirmed to the Klix.ba portal, the officers of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of CS will be in charge of implementing the new order, and the fines for not wearing masks indoors and outdoors will allegedly amount to 500 BAM.

According to the new regulation of the Crisis Staff of CS, protective masks will be mandatory in all areas, except for athletes at matches and trainings, cyclists, drivers of cars, motorcycles and electric scooters.

“Pursuant to the previously adopted amendments to the law on misdemeanors against public order and peace in CS, the police will sanction those who do not comply with the issued order. We appeal to the citizens and visitors of CS to strictly adhere to the orders of the Crisis Staff of the CS Ministry of Health,” they said from the CS Police Directorate.
