Prince Albert II of Monaco receives the Key of the City of Sarajevo

The Mayor of the City of Sarajevo presented the Key of the City of Sarajevo to Prince Albert II of Monaco during the ceremony at Sarajevo City Hall on Friday.

Skaka stated that the city of Sarajevo continues its activities when it comes to international cooperation, and that they have actively worked to position and return the place of the city of Sarajevo to where it belongs, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.

”We have invested a lot of energy and time to improve the city’s image internationally and to continue developing relations with our sister cities, “Skaka said.

He stressed that he was honored to award this recognition to Prince Albert II of Monaco, adding that he believed that “the good between the two states and the two cities will continue in the time ahead”.

Prince Albert II of Monaco said he was honored to be in Sarajevo and the Sarajevo City Hall, whose history he knows well.

“This building is a symbol of the phoenix of Sarajevo because it rose from the ashes and with the great help of European countries was restored. I am honored to receive the Key of the City of Sarajevo in this symbolic place, I am honored by this gesture. I wish I could spend more days here, but I know I will return to Sarajevo and I hope that then we will celebrate your achievements, “said the prince.

Last night, together with Mayor Skaka and President of the BiH Olympic Committee Izet Rado, the renovated Olympic Museum in Sarajevo by symbolically opened by cutting the ribbon.
