Official: UAE donated Medical Aid worth 2.5 Million U.S. Dollars, not 10

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent to the Ministry of Security of BiH all the necessary documentation related to the donated medical aid from the United Arab Emirates, Avaz news portal reports.

This equipment arrived at Sarajevo International Airport by plane on May 27, but could never be shared to the hospitals across the country. The reason is that not all the documentation arrived, in order for the customs declaration to be submitted.

Protective overalls, 25,000 pieces, respirators 40 pieces, latex gloves 150,000 pieces, N95 masks 150,000 pieces, disposable surgical masks 150,000 pieces, disposable masks 150,000 pieces, face visors 50,000 pieces, goggles 20,000 pieces, wet wipes 100,000 packages, arrived in Sarajevo on May 27th.

“Avaz” finds out that, according to the documentation that arrived from the Emirates to Sarajevo, more precisely through the embassy of this country in Podgorica, equipment worth 2.5 million dollars was donated.

An individual price for 40 respirators is still being determined. These are the same respirators that were imported by “Silver Raspberry” from China to BiH, and paid 10.5 million BAM.
