Two separate meetings were held of the representatives of the city of Mostar with a World Bank team in the Mostar city administration. Representatives from the World Bank were here on a visit to BiH.
They spoke about carrying out the mission for the project of the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Project 2 and GEF Water Quality Protection.
At the first meeting they spoke about the GEF Water Quality Protection Program. Apart from the Mostar city and World Bank representatives, representatives of the Swedish Organization SIDA and the Public Company Mostar and the Agency for Water in the area of the Adriatic Sea also attended.
The second meeting was focused on solid waste management. Apart from representatives of Mostar, World Bank and SIDA, representatives from the Public Company “Deponija” d.o.o. Mostar also attended.
The construction of a wastewater treatment plant and collector is of strategic interest for Mostar, and its construction has already begun. All funding for the project has already been secured and a contract has been signed. Work on the project will last for three years, and the purifier will cost around 23 million KM.
