Milk from B&H is of the same or even higher quality than from Croatia and we have, just like them, right to protect ours – emphasized yesterday in Banja Luka Minister of the Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&H, Mirko Sarovic, after a talk with ministers of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of RS and FB&H, Stevo Marjanovic and Semsudin Dedic.
Relevant Ministers agreed that they will intensify activities related to the removal of the ban on the export of milk from B&H to the EU and they are expecting positive response for B&H from the next talks in Brussels, and if this does not happen, they have a ready answer, about which they do not want to talk now.
“We know what measures that will be, but we will not say it now. We are absolutely convinced in a positive outcome“, said Sarovic.
It was also said that the absolute priority is still ensuring conditions for the export of milk, and in that sense, fulfilling of all points of the Action plan including raising of the level of readiness of domestic farms, quality of milk and readiness of domestic milk dairies for meeting conditions.
Minister Dedic as well added that he expects the positive solution for the export of milk from four BH dairies to the EU, and they invite citizens to buy domestic milk.
Stevo Marjanovic added that internal measures need to be taken in order to create conditions for a larger number of farms to be able to export milk, for which the product quality and marking animals is crucial.
An agreement was reached on other important issues such as amendments on the laws from the field of agriculture, veterinary and food, creation of strategical plans from the field of agriculture and others.
