The Hague tribunal is to issue a verdict for Radovan Karadžić, the former president of Republika Srpska, by the end of March, said the president of the Tribunal before the Security Council of the United Nations Carmel Agius.
As a reminder, Karadžić was arrested on July 21, 2008 in Belgrade, after 13 years of hiding from justice. Nine days later, on July 30, he was transferred to the detention unit of the Hague Tribunal in Scheveningen.
The process against Radovan Karadžić before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia began on October 26, 2009 and ended on October 7, 2014.
Among other charges, Karadžić is also charged with the genocide in Srebrenica.
