suad-zeljkovic1-e1353666086933At today’s meeting of the Cantonal Committee of SDA Sarajevo, where they discussed the current situation in Canton Sarajevo, the Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo Suad Zeljkovic resigned, announced SDA.

On Thursday and Friday, several thousand protestors took to the streets and demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo.

At a press conference, he said that there are no reasons for the destruction of property by citizens, and no reason to attack those who are responsible to protect order. He said that there are no reasons for chaos in Sarajevo, only for solidarity.

His remarks contributed in adding to the anger of citizens.

Former Prime Minister Zeljkovic has thus followed the path of his colleagues from the Tuzla and Zenica-Doboj Cantons, who gave their resignations yesterday.
