Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Igor Crnadak, announced that Turkish officials confirmed that they will adopt the decision on duty-free imports of new 15 000 tons of meat from BiH in the following year.
“It is expected for this regime in the next period to be defined on a permanent basis. This is important news for BiH, because it will contribute to the expansion of existing and investing in new farms and reinforce our overall economic activity,” added Crnadak at a press conference that was held in Banja Luka.
Speaking about the results of his visit to Turkey, on the 7th and 8th of November, he said that it is joint commitment to raise the trade to a billion USD, and he believes that joint trade representative office, which was opened with Serbia in Istanbul, will also contribute to it.
Turkey has confirmed that they will fund major infrastructure project that would link BiH and Serbia, and the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of Serbia should agree on this project.
During the meeting in Ankara, he said, Turkish officials have expressed their intention to continue with cooperation with all three constituent peoples in BiH, and their action through the development agency TIKA will be present in both entities.
In the upcoming year is planned opening of two joint projects, bridge in Visegrad and cultural center in Trebinje.
