“Guide2 Sarajevo”, the most comprehensive mobile application/audio guide that is intended for tourists and visitors to Stari Grad Sarajevo, was officially presented yesterday.
The project “Guide2Sarajevo” was jointly prepared and implemented by the Municipality of Stari Grad and the Association “Cuvari Tradicije”, with the aim to show all the natural and historical beauties of the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina to our tourists in a modern way.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad Ibrahim Hadzibajric stated that this is the first project of this kind in the Balkans, which also offers an audio guide for more than 60 objects of cultural and historical importance for Sarajevo.
The user has more than three hours of audio content in English at its disposal on the “Guide2Sarajevo” application, and the content for this project was prepared by British actor David McAlister, the associate of National Geography, Discovery, and BBC. A sound recording in the Bosnian language is currently in the process of preparation, and it will be recorded by BH editor and host Ognjen Blagojevic.
“Besides the historical facts, users can also learn the little known and unusual information related to each attraction through the audio guide ‘Guide2Sarajevo’, including modern beliefs, legends etc,” said Koro.
The application also includes a 3D paper map “Guide2Sarajevo”, which is the most modern, best-quality tourist map of Sarajevo and it ensures a clear, precise and simple movement around the city of Sarajevo.
The application includes sketches of the narrowest city center, tourist attractions, as well as service information about all public services, police, embassies, roads, and city transportation.
The value of the project amounted to 5.000 BAM and the “Guide2Sarajevo” application will be free of charge for everyone interested within the next seven days.
