The 55th International Theatre Festival MESS is to be opened today in a direct TV broadcasting on BHT1.
Prior to the performance of the play Zabranjena zona of the renowned Schaubühne theatre from Berlin, official special program will be held at the stage installed in the Olympic hall Juan Antonio Samaranch, known as Zetra, with which a tribute will be paid to the people who, each in their own way, fought for the preservation of civilization traditions, from the demolished Syrian temple Palmira to Sarajevo.
“The song with which the tribute will be paid to the archaeologist who gave his life for the preservation of the world cultural heritage was composed specially for this occasion by Drasko Adzic, and it will be performed by the ensemble of the Music Academy Sarajevo – AMAS, while the audience in front of the TVs and in the hall Zetra will have the honor to meet one true heroine, one of the eight (kljucarka) of the former Yugoslavia, the keeper of our most precious written treasure”, the Directorate of the International Theatre Festival MESS announced and invited all spectators to follow the program of BHT1 already from 7:30 p.m., when direct broadcasting from Zetra with the festival guests will begin.
This year’s 55th International Theatre Festival MESS will be held from October 2nd to 10th 2015, and it will host around 400 artists from 13 countries, and 22 plays will be performed. Detailed program and all other information are available at www.mess.ba.
