Ambassador Al Raisi officially submitted the credential letter to the Chairman of Presidency of BiH – Bakir Izetbegovic, in the building of the Presidency. He said to Izetbegovic that there is a great interest of investors from this country to invest in BiH, particularly in the fields of transport, infrastructure, telecommunications, metal, food industry etc.
“United Arab Emirates have very good relations with BiH, which is a very friendly and dear country. United Arab Emirates were present in BiH since the war time, we had a strong role in helping our friends here,” said Ambassador Al Raisi.
Speaking about the priorities of his mandate in the capital of BiH, he said that it will be a further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
“My special priority will be to strengthen investments and increase the number of tourists from my country. As you know, there is a large number of our citizens who come to BiH, and at the same time there are also a lot of investors, so we are delighted that we have developed friendly relations until now,” said the Ambassador.
He further stated that there are many investment opportunities in our country.
“This is a country rich in resources. Our investors are interested in all fields – from agriculture, tourism, industry, energy etc.,” stated Al Raisi.
Speaking of what attracts their citizens to BiH, he said that it is the natural resources such as water, mountains and climate.
“The more tourists come from our country, more they will give the opportunity to our investors to understand what is missing in BiH, or where to invest,” said Al Raisi.
The newly appointed ambassador, after the official meeting with Izetbegovic, held meetings with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic and Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak, with whom he discussed these issues.
