Members of the Central Census Bureau discussed at yesterday’s session “Unique software processing materials of the Population and Housing Census in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2013”, which establishes rules for the performance of residents and the rules for the inclusion / exclusion of a certain number of questionnaires in the process of data processing, as announced from the Agency for Statistics.
Since the proposal of the Program has not been adopted due to the fact that the three statistical institutions have not reached agreement on a set of rules for determination of the residence status (permanent residents) to be used during the processing of the list, the Central Census Bureau concluded that the Agency for Statistics will add the comments and suggestions to the proposal of a single program and submit it to the Council of Ministers and to the International monitoring mission.
The Council of Ministers may seek for the help of experts of the International monitoring mission to propose a program, on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the international monitoring of the Census, signed with the European Commission and the Council of Europe on the 18th of April 2012. This would be in accordance with international statistical standards for the population census, a set of rules that would allow the results of the 2013 population census in B&H to be effective, useful and internationally recognized and comparable.
Consequently, the beginning of the publication of the final results list could be prolonged.
