At the University in Banja Luka, the first training which announces the beginning of the 3rd Children’s University in B&H was held. Training for the professors of the University in Banja Luka was held by the representatives of the organization World University Service (WUS) from Austria and Professor Dr. Silvia Prock, the director of the Children’s University in The University of Innsbruck.
WUS Austria successfully implemented two Children’s Universities in cooperation with the University of Sarajevo and University of Mostar, in 2011 and 2013. The third Children’s University was planned in October this year in the organization of WUS Austria in cooperation with the University of Banja Luka.
These universities will host around 100 students and teachers from 9 primary schools, and will present their work in away suited for children from 10 to 12 years old.
The Children’s University aims to get children interested for the science, research and technology since an early age. In that way, especially through exciting and interactive experiences, children develop the expert talent of knowledge, creativity and deepen their curiosity and ability of critical thinking.
The Children’s University in B&H allows for an acquisition of knowledge for all children aged 10-12 years.
