Center for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation from Mostar organized the Award Ceremony of the International recognition Peace Awards “Mostar Peace Connection“ to the members of the B&H Presidency last night, and posthumously to the former president of the Republic of Turkey, Suleyman Demirel and the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Ivica Racan.
This award is awarded every year on the occasion of marking the anniversary of the reconstruction of Old Bridge, to people who contributed to the reconstruction and the construction of the Old Bridge, by their work. In previous years, among others, it was awarded to Nelson Mandela, Vaclav Havel, Alois Mock, Mohamed ElBaradei and Irina Bokova.
The award ceremony took place last night in Mostar at the terrace of the restaurant “Labirint“.
Members of the B&H Presidency were previously at the Old Bridge, where the special program and jumps in a honor of the B&H Presidency, as a general sponsor of the traditional jumps from the Old Bridge, took place.
After a tour at the Old Bridge, a solemn award ceremony of the Peace Award was held in the restaurant Labirint, and attendees were addressed by the Chairman of the B&H Presidency, Dragan Covic, in the name of the Presidency.
