Participation on the 7th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) – perspective China + 16, the international investment conference that will take part on the 4th and 5th May in the capital of B&H, announced a number of delegations of political and business leaders from around the world and the region.
Arrival at Sarajevo Business Forum confirmed Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar. SBF will be attended also by Yousef Al Ali, Minister of Trade and Industry of Kuwait. The largest Chinese delegation led by Minister Ning Jizhe, the Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Development and Reform of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, will also come to Sarajevo. The deputy governor of the Chinese province of Hainan and Hebei will also be part of the 150-member Chinese delegation.
A big delegation from Indonesia, led by Alwij Shihab, Special Envoy of the President of Indonesia Jok Widid, will also be coming to the capital city of B&H. The United States and the State Department will also send a deputy to the SBF – Kurt Tong. Government of Germany will be represented by Ana Meyer from the Ministry of Economy and Energy. The high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates also announced their participation on the SBF, where leaders of investment funds are part of it, and large business delegations of Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
This year’s Sarajevo Business Forum will assign Sarajevo Business Bridge awards for the best entrepreneurs in the region, and on the second day of the forum, SBF will give awards for the best student business plans.
SBF is held under the motto “One region, one economy – the perspective of China + 16”, and it puts in focus the whole region by promoting a vision of the region as European center for the production of energy, healthy food, the center for education for foreign students, and the development of tourism.
On the first day, the 4th of May, at the plenary session that will be held in the Parliament of BiH, will be discussed the potentials of the region and the possibilities of unification of the market, and the possibilities of cooperation with China.
On the second day of the Forum, on the 5th of May, at the hotel ‘Terme’ on Ilidza, experts from all around the world and the region shall present the ideas and propose a platform to build future strategies of performance in the field of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education, food production in Europe, and the potential of the region in the development of tourism, with parallel holding bilateral business meetings of local/regional companies with potential investors from all around the world.
Sarajevo Business Forum is organized by the BBI Bank and the Council of Ministers of B&H, under the patronage of the Presidency of B&H.
