Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national team player Miralem Pjanic is among the nominees in the competition for the best player of the Italian league.
It is a prestigious award at the Gran Gala del Calcio ceremony, with Pjanic among the top five Serie A midfielder, with competition from Piotr Zielinski (Napoli), Josip Ilicic (Atalanta), Nicolo Barella (Cagliari) and Fabian Ruiz (Napoli).
Wojciech Szczesny (Juventus), Samir Handanovic (Inter) and Salvatore Sirigu (Turin) compete for the best goalkeeper.
Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Milan Skriniar (Inter), Alexander Kolarov (Roma), Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli), Alex Sandro (Juventus), Joao Cancelo (Juventus), Giovanni di Lorenzo (Empoli) and in the selection for the best defender Armando Izzo (Turin).
In the competition for the best striker are Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus), Tobacco Zapata (Atalanta), Federico Chiesa (Fiorentina), Alejandro Gomez (Atalanta), Fabio Quagliarella (Sampdoria) and Krysztof Piatek (Milan).
Massimiliano Allegri, Sinisa Mihajlovic and Gian Piero Gasperini will compete for the title of best coach.
The awards ceremony will take place on December 2 in Milan, Klix.ba news portal reports.
