Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Mirko Sarovic and Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH Petar Ivancov met today in the capital of BiH, Sarajevo. At the meeting, they discussed the implementation of the cooperation agreed at the Second Session of the Intergovernmental BHC-Russian Trade and Economic Cooperation Commission, held on May 17th in Moscow.
Moreover, they spoke about the possible improvement of bilateral cooperation, cooperation in the field of agriculture, energy, oil and gas, industry, business cooperation and modernization of the thermal energy and hydropower sector facilities.
Minister Sarovic confirmed his commitment to conclude the remaining bilateral trade negotiations within the framework of the World Trade Organization as soon as possible. In addition, he hopes that BiH will become the full member by the end of the year.
For his part, Ambassador Ivancov expressed his full support to negotiate the remaining conditions for membership in this important world organization.
On this occasion, Ambassador Ivancov delivered a call by Energy Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak for attendance of the Energy Summit in October in Moscow.
