mostar (1) (1)The Chamber of Commerce of the city of Mostar hosted a German delegation today from the region of Heilbronn-Franken.

As part of the visit, the delegation visited this morning the airport in Mostar, and participated in a roundtable on the topic “Improving the business environment in Mostar City, Center and Strong Carrier of Economic Development of Mostar”, which was held in the INTERA Technological Park Mostar.

Before the meeting, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Mostar Dalibor Miloš said to Fena how they spoke on establishing regular commercial lines between Mostar and Stuttgart during their visit to the Mostar airport. He added this will be discussed at the roundtable.

He said that at the roundtable they will speak about the issue of education of people for the needs of the German market and of establishing cooperation between the Hannover and Mostar fairs.

According to the delegate in the German Bundestag Josip Juratović, today’s visit is a continuation of cooperation that began two years ago, and the goal is for Mostar and the Mostar region to become better economically integrated in European processes.

“We came to see what we could contribute so that this region would develop easier; therefore, everything that has to be done so that this region would function economically’’, said Juratović.

The Minister of Economy of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) Amer Zagorčić stressed that today’s visit is significant in connecting businesspeople from BiH, specifically from Mostar and HNK with businesspeople from Germany who come from economically developed European countries, countries that are leading the EU and that have the greatest influence in Europe.

“For this reason, the meeting today is more important because to be associated with an economy like Germany’s and to create business cooperation ultimately gives, in addition to economic and good business results, also a good advertisement for our economy’’, said Zagorčić.

He pointed out that the opening of public space to the German economy, in addition to the above, brings the biggest European standards, ‘’which is certainly our goal if we will enter the EU in the future, so we have to have a ready standardization. Thus our businesspeople that are ready to respond to the requests will appear in the EU tomorrow’’.

“In the HNK we have one important company that has cooperation with the German automobile industry, which is RFK ‘Valjčići’ in Konjic. They are an example of good business cooperation between Germany and BiH. Our interest is to tie as many companies with German businesspeople so that they would succeed in entering the German market or be a subcontractor for German companies’’, said Minister Zagorčić.

As part of today’s visit, the German delegation will visit the companies: Aluminij d.d., FERROKEŠ d.o.o. and FEAL d.o.o.
