“Euro- Prost Lifts“ company from Gracanica is the winner of this years’ award called “Yes for the community“ which is awarded for social responsible management and successful cooperation with the organizations of civil community and informal groups of citizens in local communities.
The prize, awarded by the Center for the promotion of the civil society was given to the representatives of the company today in Sarajevo, and as announced it is a company that has renewed a significant number of bridges and roads in Gracanica after the floods in the last year.
Second place went to the small enterprising shop “Pekara Maric“ from Prijedor which will open two new shops this weekend in Prijedor, and third place went to the “Ecoton“ company from Sarajevo that gave support to the association “Heart for the children with cancer in the Federation of BiH“.
At the invitation of the CPCS, which carry out the Small Grants Program “Be the change!“ for four years, citizens from the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the organizations of civil society had nominated the companies that are applying principles of social responsible management in their business and are supporting initiatives in the local community.
As said by the manager of this program, Dragana Grbic- Hasibovic, during the four years around 200 projects have been supported, through which citizens have been changing their environment by active participation in more than 100 local communities, and the value of realized project amounts to 800.000 BAM.
