At the 71st International Film Festival in Venice, today, within the competition program Horizons, will be screened the film “These are the rules” by a Croatian director and screen writer Ognjen Sviličić.
“These are the rules” is a film about a family tragedy of a middle-aged couple from the Zagreb neighbourhood Savica. The film, in which Emir Hadžihafizbegović, along with his colleague Jasna Žalica, plays the capital role, tells a Zagreb version of the Denis Mrnjavac story and talks about teenage delinquency.
This film, among 1500 registered films at this festival, entered into 23 best films and found its place in the official competition of this festival. It will be screened four times.
“This is great news and I am very glad because of it. I think we made a great job.” – said Hadžihafizbegović for Klix.
Hadžihafizbegović plays the father of a murder child and admits that this was one of his hardest roles to play ever.
“I never played a role of a parent who lost his child. It is a mentally difficult, very hard role.” – added Hadžihafizbegović.
