President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik presented the Decoration of the Flag of Republika Srpska with a silver wreath to the former president of Uruguay Jose Mujica yesterday in Andrićgrad.
While presenting the decoration to the renowned president of Uruguay, Dodik said he decided to present the decoration to Mujica as a recognition for “a unique world politician, for the triumph of the idea of equality, as a wise man and the restless fighter for social justice and the impoverished all around the world, as a great friend of Andrićgrad, Emir Kusturica, and Republika Srpska”.
“We are honored to have one such man with us today. The period of your rule and the way you ruled the far country of Uruguay are known all the way to here,” Dodik highlighted.
Saying thanks for the decoration, Mujica said that he understands this recognition “as a recognition for his small country”.
“It is my honor to be here with you today, to be surrounded with good people. Today, I pay tribute to the stone and the marble, to the sun and the air. Some affection brought me here. I understand the difficulties that surround this area, I am aware of the drama of the Yugoslav people,” Mujica said.
Mujica expressed home that people will leave the prehistoric age once day, and that will be the day when war is no longer necessary as a means for solving problems.
The host Emir Kusturica, together with Dodik and Mujica, made a tour around Andrićgrad and visited the booths within the Book Fair that was opened at 5 pm yesterday.
