The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak considers the visit of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel to B&H, which is unofficially announced at the moment, very important seeing as reforms are to start soon and the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU shall come into force.
He pointed out that this visit is of great importance, but that the real work in the field of European integrations will be on the authorities in B&H and its entities.
He announced that he would ask Merkel for a continued strong support for B&H and the entities.
“It is extremely important that the support provided by the EU continues, with respect to B&H with all its jurisdictions and different competencies. It is important that the support is both political and financial”, Crnadak told the reporters in Bijeljina.
Merkel is to visit B&H in terms of friendship and good atmosphere and her visit is important, he says, since she is one of those most responsible for the new European approach to B&H.
“It all started as a German-British initiative, and later this became a European initiative. In this context, it is significant that now, when the reforms are to start and when the Stabilisation and Association Agreement is to come into force, we have a visit at such a high level”, concluded the chief of the BH diplomacy.
