Bosnian Minister of Defense Sifet Podzic met on Wednesday with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain to BiH Matthew Field.
The cooperation activities between the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces of BiH (AF BiH) with NATO and the key priorities of the MoD and AF BiH were one of the topics discussed during the meeting.
For his part, Podzic expressed gratitude to Ambassador Field for the UK’s assistance in the education programs of the AF BiH members, for drafting normative acts, and for organizing a large number of workshops and seminars.
He also briefed Ambassador Field on the key priorities of the MoD and the AF BiH related to the implementation of the BiH Reform Program and Modernization Plan.
Ambassador Field underlined the absolute commitment of the United Kingdom of Great Britain to the Armed Forces of BiH, adding they must have a bigger budget.
“We want the AF BiH to move forward to further contribute to NATO missions and adopt NATO standards,” said Ambassador Field, adding that the quality of the AF BiH officers and soldiers is impressive.
Two interlocutors also discussed the acceleration of the process of registering of non-prospective military property and improving the interoperability of the AF BiH with NATO.
