On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Deputy Chairman of Bosnian Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Bisera Turkovic proposed the urgent decision at the next session to approve funds in the amount of 100,000 BAM (some 50,000 Euros) as assistance to the Republic of Turkey and the people of the Republic of Turkey to remedy the effects of a devastating earthquake.
Since Friday, the eastern part of Turkey has been hit by powerful and devastating earthquakes with catastrophic consequences, with many casualties and injuries, as well as devastated property.
After the first devastating earthquake, more than 948 less severe earthquakes were felt in the region.
According to official data, 39 people were killed in the devastating earthquake in Elazig in eastern Turkey. Turkey’s Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) said 1,607 people were injured while rescue crews continue to search for possible survivors, as well as victims, beneath the rubble.
