Following the proposition of the Ministry of civil affairs, the Council of ministers of B&H reached a decision on assigning the national award for the B&H sport.
The first award of 10 000 BAM (around 5 000 Euros) was assigned to Mirsad Fazlagić who won the first place in 1987 in Chile as a coach of the ex-Yugoslavia national team up to 21 years and who, as captain of the national Yugoslav team, won the silver medal and was pronounced to be the best European back player back in 1968 in Rome.
The second award of 5 000 BAM (around 2 500 Euros) was assigned to the boxer Almedin Fetahović who won the first place at the Mediterranean games in France in 1993 and the first place at the Balkans Juniors Championship in 1982.
The third award of 5 000 BAM as well was assigned to the judo fighter Dražen Subotić for the golden medal that he won at the World Cup in Celje (Slovenia) in 2006.
The forth award was assigned to the boxer Dašo Simeunović for winning silver at the European competition held last year in Mostar. He will receive a letter of thanks.
