On Friday, July 31st 2015, at the premises of the BBI in Sarajevo a Business Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Red Crescent of the United Arab Emirates (Red Crescent Societty For UAE) and the BBI Bank, in order to support the implementation of the aid to the orphans in B&H.
The signatories are Salem Al Ameri, the General Director of the UAE Red Crescent, and Amer Bukvic, the General Director of the BBI Bank.
The Red Crescent of the United Arab Emirates (Red Crescent Societty For UAE) Herzegovina has been successfully operating in B&H since 1996, with the primary task of the implementation of humanitarian activities among certain populations of people, opting to help those who need help the most at the given moment. The latest project is providing scholarships to the orphans, worth more than four million BAM annually.
The Red Crescent of the United Arab Emirates (Red Crescent Societty For UAE) recognized the BBI bank as a socially responsible institution and a partner in this project. Considering that the responsibility for the progress of the community is embedded into the foundation of its corporate culture, the BBI Bank will, in all its branches/offices across the corporate network, while respecting the aforementioned contract, open free of charge at least 4.000 current accounts in the name of the orphans – beneficiaries of these scholarships for the purpose of the payment of those, and issue the same number of debit cards with no annual membership fee and other expenses per card, it was announced from the BBI Bank.
