Export of agricultural products from Republika Srpska to the Russian Federation increased last year in comparison with 2014 from 4.3 million BAM to 12.7 million BAM. Fruits are dominant in the structure of export, especially apples.
Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of RS Stevo Mirjanić yesterday informed the Ambassador of Russian Federation to BiH Petr Ivancov about the export potentials of that BiH entity in the field of plant and animal production, primarily fruit, vegetables, meat and milk, and their products.
Mirjanić believes that RS has great chances and possibilities in the production and delivery of fresh meat, meat products, milk and dairy products and that it can offer significant amounts of those products to Russia, stated the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of RS.
“RS has a very well-developed veterinary service and can fulfill all conditions that the Russian market demands regarding the animal origin products,” Mirjanić said.
Ambassador Ivancov announced that the Russian inspectors who are in charge of issuing certificates for export will visit BiH by the end of this year.
Main goal of the arrival of the Russian delegation will be the inspection of facilities for production of meat and milk.
