Total external and internal debt of the Government of FBiH, without included verified liabilities for which securities have not been issued nor obligations towards employees and suppliers of the former Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of the FBiH, amounts to 6,229,796,107 BAM and it is higher, in comparison to the debt from the previous quarter, by 52,197,685 BAM or by 0.845 %, as stated from the Government of FBiH.
Foreign debt at the end of the second quarter amounted to 5,175,791,230 BAM. The nominal amount of debt denominated in BAM is smaller than the debt in the last quarter for 17,802,315 BAM, or by 0.34 %. When it comes to the internal debt during the quarter, in line with the calendar auction of securities of the Government of FBiH, five auctions of treasury bills were held and one auction of Treasury bonds (40 million BAM).
Treasury bills are emitted in the amount of 120 million BAM, of which one is the auction of three-month treasury bills (30 million BAM) and four auctions of six-month treasury bills (90 million BAM). In the same period, on the basis of previously issued securities, which are due for payment in the second quarter, 90 million BAM have been payed off, of which one three-month treasury bill in the amount of 30 million BAM, two six-month treasury bills totaling to 40 million BAM and one nine-month treasury bill that amounts to 20 million BAM.
The internal debt of the Government of FBiH on the 30th of June 2016 amounted to 1.070.084.506 BAM, of which the debt in the form of security papers amounted to 1.054.004.877 BAM.
Internal debt on the basis of market (treasury bills and marketable securities) and non-marketable securities (bonds of old foreign currency savings, bonds of war claims) on the 30th of June 2016 amounted to 1.054.004.877 BAM and in comparison to the previous quarter, it is higher by 70,000. 000 BAM or by 7.11 %.
