“I can see concrete plans for the future for the first time and that greatly contributes to regional cooperation and stability. When you have two capital cities that are sharing the same vision, experiences, work for the wellbeing of their citizens and countries, then the whole region is changing,” said Mali.
He noted that the region has to perform together because it is more competitive in that way, and he also added that capital cities of the region can jointly perform on the third markets, to present their countries and region, as well as their potentials in the field of tourism and culture.
The Mayor of East Sarajevo Nenad Vukovic expressed his great pleasure with the opportunity to sign the agreement of cooperation when it comes to organization of youth Olympics in East Sarajevo and Sarajevo in 2019.
“That is one of the largest events in the next period for us, and it brings us back to the scene of organizing large competitions in winter sports, but it also represents an opportunity to promote tourism potentials in the region of East Sarajevo and Sarajevo and Olympic mountains Jahorina, Bjelasnica, Dvoriste, Igman, and cities,” noted Vukovic.
Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka stated that he believes that this is the beginning of a good practice that cities in the region will continue to do in the future period, with the aim of joining the region in common market.
