State company “Highways of the FBiH” has ensured 934 million EUR of credit funds for continuation of the construction of Corridor 5C, the most important infrastructure projects in BiH.
It is planned to construct 31 kilometers of highway by the end of the year, as well as section to Zenica and Pocitelj in this mandate of the Management Board, which is a total of 84 kilometers. Also, after the new increase in excise duties on oil and petroleum products, the construction of the highway will be accelerated, as confirmed from this company. Thus, through increased excise taxes “Highways of the FBiH” will annually collect a total of 140 million BAM.
These funds serve as credit capacity for the new loans, but also for the repayment of 934 million EUR of loans, as stated from “Highways of FBiH”. So far, a total of 92 kilometers of highway on the Corridor 5C was constructed, and 180 kilometers remained. In the next 4 years is planed to construct another 84 kilometers of highway and an additional 68 kilometers through the concession which is already planned for the beginning of 2017.
By the concession model will be built motorway Lasva – Nevic Polje – Jajce.
When it comes to works on Corridor 5C for this year, the construction of the motorway to Zenica in a total of 10 kilometers is currently taking place, plus an additional 4 kilometers that are being prepared. Also, the start of works on the section of highway to Pocitelj, in a distance of 10 kilometers is in the preparation, plus 7 kilometers from Pocitelj to Buna. On the section Pocitelj is planned the construction of the colossal bridge Pocitelj in the length of 945 meters and a maximum height of 100 meters.
For next year is planned construction of the section Konjic – Prenj in a total length of 22 kilometers, Mostar – Buna in a total length of 13 kilometers, section Svilaj – Odzak in a total length of 10 kilometers and Zenica – Nemila in the length of 10 kilometers of the highway. The funds have already been secured for these sections.
