Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic yesterday met in Sarajevo with the head of the department for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Martin Kotthaus, on the topic of realization of the Reform Agenda and the path of BiH towards the European Union.
Chairman Zvizdic introduced Mr. Kotthaus with the current economic and political situation in BiH and thanked the people and Government of Germany for their continuous support and commitment to the reform process in BiH, especially in the area of European integrations and socio-economic development. Chairman Zvizdic noted that the goal of BiH is achieving the candidate status for membership in the European Union, and activation of MAP for membership in NATO.
Martin Kotthaus stated that stability in the Western Balkans is especially important for the entire Europe and that Germany supports the European perspective of the region and BiH, and that they are working on socio-economic objectives through German-British initiative since 2014.
Chairman Zvizdic and Kotthaus agreed that the Reform Agenda, rule of law, strengthening of good neighborly relations and regional cooperation are key points for strengthening the stability, prosperity, and improvement of living standards of citizens in BiH.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Germany in BiH, Christiane Hohmann.
