The 24th October is marked as the World Day of polio. Famous people such as the actor Miraj Grbić, the painter Natalija Cimeša, the doctor Alija Azabagić, the politician Heinz Schwarz and others joined the action initiated by Rotaract Tuzla.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina may not be the country of which would be expected too much assistance in cash, although a lot is not need. 15 dollars are enough for 25 vaccines against polio for children. In addition, we have decided to help in raising awareness of polio thought photographs of all interested and in the photograph they will show the sign ‘ this close’. All participants on 24th October will put their photos on social medias which they use”, announced Rotaract Tuzla .
Polio of children is eradicated in 99 % in the world and only three countries still suffer from polio – Afghanistan, Nigeria and Pakistan. Therefore, Rotaract Tuzla, after a period of inactivity began the project of support to patients and to those who deal with the fight against this disease.
Rotaract Sarajevo, Bijeljina Rotary Club, as well as the students and employees of the Faculty of Rehabilitation will participate in this action.
