The Acting Director of the Tax Administration of FB&H Šerif Isović stated that a lot of work is ahead of this institution in the coming period and activities will be aimed at creating better conditions for effective work of employees of the Administration, as well as at increasing activities on the implementation of Administration’s jurisdictions under relevant laws.
“Our aim is to have all activities result in achievement of the primary goal – the increase in financially-fiscal discipline, timely and precise determining and collecting tax liabilities, and thus affirmation of Administration and its employees,” Isović said.
Isović highlighted that the concept of inspection supervision which has been conducted during last two months will be continued and intensified in the coming period as well and that the concept of collection, primarily the forced one, has to be significantly improved.
Moreover, Isović stated that the Administration will be working on establishing a unique and uniform system of reporting and analysis of work of its organizational units and of improving informatics solutions for more comprehensive office control and fast service for taxpayers.
“We have significantly increased activities on the control of black market work, black market workers, and failure of turnover recording. Therefore, in eight devised and quickly implemented actions we have conducted 1,852 inspection supervisions in which we discovered 689 black market workers and 141 facilities working without adequate permit. We have sealed 275 facilities due to found irregularities. Furthermore, we have issued 1,060 misdemeanor warrants thus issuing financial fines amounting to 2,621,650 BAM,”Isović specified.
Isović highlighted that the work of the Tax Administration must be more transparent, i.e. that the results and effects of the work of the Administration should be available to the authorities and the public as much as possible, to the extent which does not threaten the rights of taxpayers in terms of disclosure of tax secrets.
Isović explained that the increase in transparency also increases the responsibility of the Tax Administration, i.e. its employees, to execute its obligations and tasks more precisely, more efficiently, more rationally and more successfully, and thus he believes that it should be stipulated by law that the Report on the work of Tax Administration must be adopted by the Parliament of FB&H.
